Snow Closures in London and South East Monday 21

A number of our places are closed today Monday 21 Jan due to the snow. We're listing here the details we have so far.

Knole is now closed for the week as per normal opening times for this time of year. Please call 01732 462100 to check before travelling to see if we're open at the weekend.


We are closed due to the snow today Monday 21 Jan, and are likely to remain closed for the rest of the week. Please call 01732 868381 for the latest details.

White Cliffs

We are closed today Monday 21 because of snow in the car park, we hope to open again on Tuesday 22.

Emmetts Garden

The recruitment open day on Tues 22 has been cancelled. A garden tour will be included at interview stage for successful candidates. 


We are now open again to general visitors, but planned garden tours will not be going ahead.

The Vyne

Due to ice and snow, the Vyne remains closed Mon 21 and Tues 22.



Remains closed on Monday 21 Jan.

Box Hill

Due to snow, the Zig Zag road is closed Mon 21 Jan. Please call 01306 885502 to check for details.

East Sussex

Birling Gap:

We are pleased to report the cafe will be open today 21 Jan offering a limited menu and will be closing at 3pm.

Sheffield Park and Garden

We intend to remaining open throughout the snowy days. The entrance drive is not gritted or cleared and visitors enter the garden at their own risk.

Bodiam Castle

Bodiam is now closed for the week as per normal opening times for this time of the year. Please call 01580 830436 to check for weekend opening times later in the week.

West Sussex

Woolbeding Countryside

Woolbeding, Olderhill  and Harting Down car parks remain open, but conditions dangerous and roads haven't been gritted. Visitors use at their own risk.


Due to the continuing bad weather we will be closed on Monday 21st January. If you have booked tickets to our Turner exhibition we’ll be calling you today and you will receive an automatic refund. If you would then like to reschedule please call the National Trust booking office on Tuesday. We apologise for any inconvenience.

The park however continues to be open for pedestrian access and the steep hills are perfect for sledging.



The woodland at Cliveden remains closed today Monday 21 Jan.


Osterley Park

We may have to shut the car park at short notice due to the snowy weather, but we remain open to pedestrians.
