Autumnal antics and Halloween half term

A post from Rebecca, our volunteer member blogger, who is out and about for us this autumn and finding the best events and walks the NT's London and South East region has to offer.

Oh my goodness, somehow autumn has been slowly creeping across London and the South East!  We have been busy tracking down some #autumnglow and finding out about what is going on in half term week.

Leaf-strewn walks
Check out Mottisfont's Spooky zoo - from pythons to beetles....eek!

Anyone fancy taking off on a broomstick?  Go along to Mottisfont for Broom making

This sounds truly fantastic!  Down at South Foreland, young lighthouse keepers are invited to search for ghosts by torchlight.

Up for some more ghost spotting?  Then head to Stowe and join a walk for spine-tingling stories of monsters and ghastly ghosts. You might even spot an owl or bat or two!

At Claremont, they're dressing up for a spooktacular walk around the lake! Or for the more crafty among you, why not try one of their workshops?  Jack-o'-lanterns are a Halloween favourite so get ready to carve a pumpkin too!

For marshmallow toasting and more pumpkin carving, head to Headley Heath

Our favourite for this weekend has to be The Vyne's Orchard Weekend.  No doubt you will find us all there stomping through the leaves, finding out more about apples and sampling some delicious apple goodies!
Apple goodness!
